Château de Bellevue stands in Glaire (Ardennes), in the Grand Est region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The château de Bellevue stands on a hillside at Glaire, on the outskirts of the Fresnois district near Sedan. Built in the mid nineteenth century to designs by architect Jacques Alexandre Titeux, it owes its renown to a single historic moment: it was here that Napoleon III put his signature to the surrender document following defeat by Prussian forces, on 2 September 1870. The building is not open to the public and can only be viewed from the road running alongside the Meuse.
