The château de Beauvoir stands in Évry-Courcouronnes, on the left bank of the Seine, at the edge of the former Hurepoix region. Built from meulière stone and bastard plaster coated to resemble stone, it sits within a nine hectare park dotted with statues, a kiosk and a pavilion. Near the entrance gate, two lions perched atop the pillars, added in the late 1970s, replaced earlier statues of mastiffs.
