What the French Ministry of Culture records

La motte castrale de Beaumont était une ancienne poype dont le fief est régulièrement cité du 14e siècle à la Révolution. Le château a supplanté une construction plus ancienne, carrée avec tourelles d'angles rondes, rasée vers 1853. En 1865, ajout de la tour carrée nord. Les écuries ont été édifiées sur d'anciens communs. La façade monumentale dessert un porche et la sellerie. Dans la partie sud, une pompe était actionnée par les chevaux pour alimenter les abreuvoirs et une partie du château en eau. Le manège et une partie du mécanisme subsistent. De chaque côté se situent une forge et un atelier. Au sud-est, le logement des palefreniers est surmonté d'un pigeonnier. Les écuries, réalisation de style néo-régionaliste, utilisent un décor alliant peinture, cuivre, abreuvoirs en émail, plaques de marbre… et mettent en œuvre les préceptes hygiénistes du 19e siècle.
