Maison agrandie et aménagée par deux grandes familles d'industriels de la fin du 19e siècle : les Arbel, puis les Marrel (à partir de 1894). Maison caractéristique des goûts de la bourgeoisie à la fin du 19e siècle. La partie centrale de la maison actuelle est la maison primitive, sans doute du 18e siècle. Château agrandi par Dodat et décoré par des artisans parisiens.
