What the French Ministry of Culture records

Bascher était un hôtel-fort entouré de murailles et de douves que franchissait un pont-levis. Ces fortifications ont disparu et le château a été remanié. Chapelle des 12e et 16e siècles. Château du 18e siècle, doublé au 19e siècle d'une façade et de deux tours. La façade principale est ornée d'un fronton en tympan central mouluré, couronné d'un entablement. La fuye du 16e siècle est relativement bien conservée, avec ses 1400 boulins répartis sur quatre divisions, et son échelle tournante.
