To make a day of it

Château d'Aunoy stands in Champeaux (Seine-et-Marne), in the Île-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second quarter of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

In Champeaux, in Seine-et-Marne, the château d'Aunoy shows the restrained lines of a residence built in the second quarter of the 18th century, raised after a fire on stone vaults designed to be fireproof. The estate is best known for its landscape park, among the earliest of its kind in France, laid out with sloping lawns, a lake and various garden follies. A dovecote and two turrets remain from the medieval castle that once stood here.
