Château de Bombon stands in Bombon (Seine-et-Marne), in the Île-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In Bombon, Seine-et-Marne, this 17th-century château replaced a medieval stronghold, of which a gatehouse pavilion still remains. Built by the Brenne family and later inherited by the Goyon de Matignon family, it took its current name from that marriage. The site is remembered for a striking historical moment: in its courtyard, Marshal Foch received his marshal's baton from President Raymond Poincaré in 1918.
