Castellas de Montoulieu stands in Montoulieu (Hérault), in the Occitanie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: Middle Ages). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Perched on a hilltop above Montoulieu, in the Hérault department, this medieval hilltop fortress is reached via a marked walking trail through the garrigue scrubland. First recorded in 1156 as Castrum de Montolivo, the site still retains a tower roughly twelve metres tall along with the foundations of a dwelling, a chapel and its former defensive walls. Partly dismantled in the seventeenth century on Richelieu's orders, it has since been restored and made accessible to walkers.
