What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château construit par Jacques Amat, dans la seconde moitié du 17e siècle. Le bâtiment est élevé de deux étages sur soubassement voûté en berceau. L'ancienne porte de ville en arc brisé fait partie intégrante de l'immeuble. Le bâtiment actuel semble être appuyé sur l'ancienne enceinte urbaine et une ancienne maison seigneuriale du bas Moyen-Age dont la porte de ville et l'épaisseur de la base des murs extérieurs sud-est gardent la mémoire. Décor de gypserie, plafonds à la française.
