To make a day of it

Weinheimer Schloss stands in Weinheim (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

The Weinheimer Schloss stands at the heart of Weinheim, built up over centuries on the site of a former estate of the Electors Palatine. Its architecture combines a 16th century Renaissance wing, an 18th century classical section and a 19th century neo-Gothic tower, giving the building its layered, composite appearance. It now houses the town administration, though the adjoining park, known as the Exotenwald, remains open to visitors. A restaurant occupies the ground floor of the south wing, restored in the early 2000s to reveal its original oak parquet floor and stucco decoration.
