To make a day of it
Schloss Wernsdorf stands in Strullendorf (Landkreis Bamberg), in Bavaria, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Wernsdorf stands in Strullendorf, in the Landkreis Bamberg, Bavaria, reportedly on the remains of a fortified post linked to Charlemagne. First recorded in 1114, the estate took its present form in the early 17th century when Prince-Bishop Johann Gottfried I. von Aschhausen turned it into a hunting residence. Left to decay for decades, it has since 1993 been home to the Capella Antiqua Bambergensis, an early-music ensemble that restored the building and its park. The castle now hosts concerts, lessons and lectures devoted to early music and art history.
