Schloss Train stands in Train (Landkreis Kelheim), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Train stands in Train, in the Landkreis Kelheim, Bavaria, on a small island still surrounded by a water-filled moat. The present building was most likely erected in 1605 by Christoph Elrich von Elsenhaim on the site of an earlier fortified residence already recorded in 1439. It is a three-storey hip-roofed structure with coloured corner pilasters, adjoined by the castle chapel Mariä Heimsuchung, first mentioned in 1461. The surrounding wall with round corner bastions, rebuilt in the 18th and 19th centuries, still encloses the islet that once held several now-vanished outbuildings.
