Schloss Oberbechingen is a three storey building under a gabled roof, erected in 1584 for Caspar Roth von Schreckenstein on the edge of the Oberbechingen hamlet. Ownership later passed to the Tänzl von Trazberg family and then to the counts of Pappenheim, and during the twentieth century the building served many purposes: a recovery home for wounded soldiers, housing for displaced families, a police post, a joinery, a nursery and a farming business. Bought by a private couple in 1972 and sold again in 2020, it remains private property in need of renovation. Parts of the old castle wall still surround the building and its outbuildings.
