Schloss Notzing stands in a park at Oberding, at the edge of the village beneath the hill crowned by the church of St Nicholas. The present rectangular building, roughly 15 by 20 metres, dates from the second half of the 14th century and replaced an earlier moated castle. Its stepped gables at the east and west ends, along with a small tower on the southeast side, remain the most recognisable features of the structure. A bridge crossing the former moat on the east side forms the approach to the building.
