Schloss Mahlitz stands apart from the town of Schollene, in the hamlet of Mahlitz, in Saxony-Anhalt. Built in 1889 in a historicist style recalling a hunting lodge, it replaced a much older estate first recorded in the early Middle Ages under a Slavic form of the name. The house belonged for several generations to the von Katte family before being nationalised and used for housing after the Second World War. The adjoining park still holds the family's burial site.
