Schloss Isareck stands in Wang (Landkreis Freising), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
Schloss Isareck stands on the steep slopes above the confluence of the Isar and Amper rivers, near the hamlet of Isareck close to Wang in Bavaria. First recorded in 1283, the estate passed through the counts of Moosburg to the Wittelsbach dukes, and Duke Albrecht V had the present building erected between 1559 and 1570 under master builder Asmus Hälmayr as a four-winged complex. A fire in 1648 and a partial demolition in 1803 left only the three-storey northeastern wing standing, with its portal, the St. George chapel and a tower topped by a baroque onion dome. Owned by the counts of La Rosée since 1824, the schloss has also served as a filming location for German television productions, including an episode of Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl.
