The Schloss in Pommelsbrunn, known as Schloss Eschenbach, stands in the hamlet of Eschenbach between the Hirschbach and Pegnitz streams in Bavaria. Originally built around 1230 as a moated stronghold, it was destroyed in 1552 during the Second Margrave War and rebuilt from 1554 onward in the form still visible today. The Ebner von Eschenbach family has owned it since 1508, apart from a brief gap in the seventeenth century, and the interior includes an ancestral hall with portraits painted around 1730.
