Schloss Bürg stands on the northern slope of the Kocher valley, facing Neuenstadt am Kocher at the eastern edge of the old village of Bürg. Built in stone in the late Gothic style, it is marked by its stepped gable, a projecting balcony on the valley side, and a stair tower. A moat, once crossed by two bridges, still separates the Schloss from the village. The estate has remained in the hands of one family for centuries, passing by inheritance from the Gemmingen to the Mentzingen line.
