The Ruine Turmhölzle sits on a rocky spur at 620 metres above sea level, east of the hamlet of Raitbach on the heights of the Hohe Möhr. What remains of this small medieval stronghold are the ruins of its keep and sections of wall. No precise date or builder is known, though the masonry of the keep suggests a 12th century origin. Excavations carried out in 1981 by school groups under archaeologists uncovered much of the site.
