Prinz-Georg-Palais stands in München (München), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 19th century. No visits are on record for this building.

The Prinz-Georg-Palais stands at number 5 Karolinenplatz in Munich, a freestanding building within this classically planned square. Built in the early 19th century for Franz Wilhelm von Asbeck to designs by Karl von Fischer, it takes up the idea of a central rotunda inspired by Palladio's Villa Rotonda, rising through both storeys to a skylight cut into the hipped roof. The facade facing the square features an Ionic portico originally designed for carriage access. Over the decades the building served many purposes, from diplomatic residence and consulate to an arbitration body for workers' insurance, before becoming in the early 20th century the venue of the literary salon hosted by Elsa and Hugo Bruckmann.
