The Pellerschloss stands in the centre of the Fischbach district south of Nuremberg, still ringed by the moat once fed by the Fischbach stream. Built in the 16th century on an older stone base, it is one of the few patrician country houses in the area to retain its original timber-framed upper floors, projecting outward on angled struts, along with a wooden oriel window found nowhere else nearby. The house takes its name from the Peller family, who owned it from the late 17th century until 1870 and whose coat of arms remains on the building. Now owned by the city of Nuremberg, it hosts civil weddings, concerts and other cultural events in its rooms and garden.
