The Palais Moy stands at the corner of Odeonsplatz and Brienner Straße in Munich, right beside the north tower of the Theatinerkirche. Built in 1824 and 1825 to a master plan drawn up by Leo von Klenze as part of the city's expansion under King Ludwig I, its classical facade was shaped by strict rules meant to preserve the church's setting. The interior was destroyed in the bombing raids of December 1944 and rebuilt in the early 1950s following Klenze's original exterior design. Today it is viewed from the square and street, its ground floor occupied by shops.
