To make a day of it
Eiringsburg stands in Bad Kissingen (Landkreis Bad Kissingen), in Bavaria, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
The Eiringsburg, also known as Iringsburg, is the remains of an earthen ring fortification on the southern edge of the Rhön hills, in the valley of the Franconian Saale near Arnshausen, a district of Bad Kissingen. The enclosure measured about 120 by 65 metres and included a pincer-shaped gate. Believed to date from the 7th century, it is thought to have served as a refuge stronghold rather than a noble residence. Archaeological excavations took place in 1910 and again in 1974.
