To make a day of it

Burgwall Mölln stands in Mölln (Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte), in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burgwall Mölln is the remnant of a medieval Slavic island fortress, located north of Mölln beside a lake that has since largely silted up. Excavations carried out in 1988 by archaeologist Volker Schmidt uncovered evidence suggesting it was the seat of a Tollensian prince. Current research identifies this site with the legendary stronghold of Gotebant. The oval earthwork, though flattened in places by farming, remains visible in the landscape today.
