To make a day of it

Burgstall Altdorf stands in Altdorf (Landkreis Landshut), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burg Altdorf, known more precisely as the Burgstall on the Oswaldberg, is the earthwork remnant of a medieval hilltop fortification west of the village of Altdorf, in the Landkreis Landshut, Bavaria. No walls or buildings have survived: only the shaped terrain remains, a two part spur cut off by a transverse ditch, marking where the stronghold once stood. Excavations there uncovered bones and medieval pottery fragments, now kept at the Prehistoric State Collection in Munich. This is a site for those drawn to landscape archaeology rather than standing architecture.
