The Herzogsschlösschen is a summer pavilion built in 1782 in the Berg district of Landshut for Duke Wilhelm von Birkenfeld-Gelnhausen. Designed in classical style by town architect Thaddäus Leitner, it stands within the Herzogsgarten, a landscaped park enclosed by a 16th-century wall. In front of the building stands a sandstone monument honouring the Sckell brothers, who laid out the garden, while a monumental gateway and a Temple of Friendship complete the grounds. The building now houses storage for the Landshut city museums and is not open to visitors inside.
