Burg Sonderbuch once stood on the summit of the Schlossberg, a 675 metre hill southeast of Sonderbuch, a village belonging to the municipality of Zwiefalten. Built in the 11th century by the lords of Sonderbuch, it was destroyed in the 13th century and never rebuilt. What remains today is the fortified mound itself along with traces of ramparts and ditches, now preserved as a natural monument.
