To make a day of it

Burg Nürings stands in Falkenstein (Hochtaunuskreis), in Hesse, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Nürings survives only as a stump of a tower, the remnant of a hilltop stronghold standing right next to the south side of Burg Falkenstein, within the Burghain nature reserve at Falkenstein. There is no intact building to see, just masonry once thought to date from the Salian period but now, following more recent excavations, placed between the late 13th and early 15th century. The ruin is reached in the open air and makes sense mainly as a companion visit to the neighbouring Burg Falkenstein.

  • The site lies within a nature reserve, outdoors, right next to Burg Falkenstein.
