Burg Mietingen survives today only as traces in the ground, on the site of a former medieval noble residence in the municipality of Mietingen. It was distinct from the nearby Wasserburg Mietingen, and the village may once have had as many as three separate fortified sites. Square in plan, it was bordered by deep ditches on three sides. By 1442, records already referred only to a ditch at this location, indicating the structure had already vanished.
