To make a day of it

Burg Geyen stands in Pulheim (Rhein-Erft-Kreis), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Geyen is a former moated manor house in the Geyen district of Pulheim, in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its nearly square layout reflects its old role as a customs post on the border between the territories of Cologne and Jülich. A round tower and a rectangular one stand at the northern and western corners, and a stone bridge now leads across what was once a water-filled moat, where the slots for the chains of a former drawbridge can still be seen. Most of the surviving buildings, built of brick, date from a rebuilding after a fire in the 17th century.
