The Château du Tertre is a stone residence built in 1732 at Tronville-en-Barrois in the Meuse department. Erected for Charles du Tertre, a councillor at the Parliament of Metz, this rectangular building combines classical elegance with regional restraint. Its main facades are decorated with Tuscan pilasters and ornamental heads carved as agraffes. Since 1983, the municipal offices occupy the building. Inside, three rooms preserve their original period decoration: a vestibule with black and white checkerboard flooring and a ceiling of nine painted panels, a wainscoted drawing room with a fireplace, and a dining room with geometric wall panels. Paintings and an armorial earthenware fountain complete the interior.
