The Château du Bois-Louis stands within a wooded estate on the boundary between Le Châtelet-en-Brie and Sivry-Courtry, in Seine-et-Marne. Built in the eighteenth century on land once tied to the Saint-Louis priory of Poissy, it was altered during the following century. Its stone and brick walls are ringed by moats, originally meant for defence but used mainly for fish farming. The estate passed through several hands, including the Rouillé du Coudray family.
