The château des Vives-Eaux stands on the banks of the Seine, on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest, in Dammarie-lès-Lys. Built between 1760 and 1780 by architect Jacques Gondouin for his own use, the building passed through several owners before becoming, in the early 2000s, the setting for the television show Star Academy. Rebuilt in red brick around 1900, it still stands within a park featuring groves, ponds and a fish pool linked to the river.
