To make a day of it

Château des Creissauds stands in Aubagne (Bouches-du-Rhône), in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

The Château des Creissauds stands in the Huveaune valley, between Aubagne and La Penne-sur-Huveaune, hidden by a small hill that makes it hard to spot from the road. Built in the 19th century by a Marseille shipowner atop older foundations possibly dating to the 16th century, it retains vaulted rooms and a park planted with century-old plane trees, chestnuts and palms. The estate, now privately owned, houses a restaurant, a distillery and event spaces, rather than functioning as a heritage site open for standard visits.
