The château des Aulnays stands in Torcé-en-Vallée, in the Sarthe department, surrounded by water filled moats and centuries old trees. The main building seen today dates from the late 16th century, although the site itself is said to go back to the 11th century. Once a hunting lodge, it changed hands many times over the centuries and has kept the look of a small rural stronghold.
