Set in the hamlet of Villars-Dombes near Dompierre-en-Morvan, this château dates from the third quarter of the 18th century and retains the restrained character of a manor house begun in 1767 by François de Chastenay. Its rectangular layout, single upper floor beneath a Mansart roof and central pediment give the building a classic 18th century profile. The main points of interest are the wrought iron staircase railing and the preserved decor of the antechamber and drawing room.
