What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château a été établi sur les bases d'une ancienne grosse métairie, achevée en 1619. En 1645, il est fait mention d'un grand bâtiment à deux étages. La façade est percée de quatorze ouvertures. La toiture est masquée par une rangée de balustres du début du 20e siècle, imitant un toit en terrasse. Le crépi laisse apparente la brique autour des couvertures, à la corniche, aux chaînages d'angles. L'arrière de l'édifice ne présente pas la même ordonnance. Sur la façade sud, le petit édifice servait de porche pour les calèches qui y déposaient les personnes par temps de pluie. L'intérieur, décoré vers 1735, est orné d'un décor Louis XV dont l'auteur serait le père d'Ingres.
