The Château de Vaux stands a few kilometres from Miré, in Maine-et-Loire, on the road to Bierné. Built between 1464 and 1468 by Jean Bourré, who later built Jarzé and then Plessis-Bourré, it was his first seigneurial residence. Left in ruin for decades, the building was brought back through a restoration spanning almost twenty-five years, completed in 2012.
