In Évreux, the château de Trangis stands within a park that now serves as a public green space, drawing visitors more for a walk than for a tour of the interior. Built before 1750 on the remains of a 17th century structure, it passed through several families, including that of the Duke of Bouillon and later the Goldschmidts, before being sold to the city in 1981. Its classical facade of stone and brick, with mullioned windows, can still be seen from the park, which also offers a treetop adventure course.
