Château de Sermoise stands in Sermoise-sur-Loire (Nièvre), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: third quarter of the 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Built between 1751 and 1753 on a rise above the confluence of the Loire and Allier rivers, the château de Sermoise overlooks this river landscape near Nevers. Its facade, its salon with wood panelling, its staircase, its stone gateway and its wrought iron gate are listed as historic monuments. Having passed through several notable Nivernais families, the house now belongs to the Vulpillières family and retains the character of an 18th century seigneurial residence.
