What the French Ministry of Culture records

Oeuvre de Nicolas Bachelier, construit à partir de 1545 pour Michel du Faur, juge-mage de Toulouse. De Bachelier ne subsiste que le pavillon d'entrée sur la façade duquel apparaissent six fenêtres et l'ordonnance de trois étages. L'accès de la façade Est se fait par une porte cintrée avec assises et voussures verniculées, surmontée d'une corniche servant d'appui à une fenêtre encadrée de crossettes et accostée de deux colonnes corinthiennes. Au-dessus, fenêtre avec colonnette centrale tenant lieu de meneau, l'ensemble étant encadré de deux colonnes composites à l'aplomb des colonnes inférieures, et de colonnes à feuillages renversées. Un attique et un fronton curviligne couronnent l'ordonnance pyramidale. La façade ouest est percée d'une porte donnant sur le verger qui a remplacé le château. Le large cintre s'orne de feuilles lancéolées et s'appuie sur deux pilastres accouplés. Au-dessus, cartouche autour duquel se suivent rosaces, oves et triglyphes. A l'intérieur, cheminées Renaissance.
