What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château servait de sentinelle à la forteresse de Biron. La structure ancienne de l'édifice est noyée dans des constructions des 18e et 19e siècles. Une cour intérieure carrée est délimitée sur ses côtés nord et est par des bâtiments d'habitation et d'exploitation agricole. Deux tours ont été construites aux extrémités nord, l'une servant de pigeonnier, l'autre de chapelle. Le côté ouest est fermé par un grand mur de clôture. Le côté sud est constitué par le corps de logis principal, cantonné de deux tours. Sur la façade nord de cette partie, une autre tour, hexagonale et décapitée, enfermée dans une construction plus récente, contient l'escalier à vis qui permet l'accès à l'étage. A l'intérieur, la pièce octogonale de la petite tour est couverte d'une coupole.
