Saint-Chamant Castle in Corrèze dates from the 13th century. Only a massive circular tower survives from this fortress, truncated at the beginning of the 17th century. The tower preserves two storeys: a ground chamber and a ribbed-vaulted upper level. Fragments of painted decoration, imitating ashlar patterns, remain visible inside. A second defensive structure, known as La Sellette, projects from the southern corner and bears artillery features from the 16th century.

The tower and surrounding terrace walls have been protected as historical monuments since 2014, along with the ground of the surrounding parcels.
Only the medieval structure and the artillery bastion are covered by protection; 20th-century farm buildings are excluded.
