What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le 18 mars 1654, Claude Garrot, receveur des consignations des requêtes du Palais, acheta une petite maison entourée d'un vaste jardin donnant sur le grand carrefour de Périgny. Entre 1654 et 1659, il construisit à la place une vaste demeure composée d'un corps de logis principal flanqué de chaque côté de deux pavillons. Bien que ses façades aient été reprises au 19e siècle, la maison a conservé un bel escalier à balustres de bois ainsi que sa distribution du 17e siècle et le tracé ancien de son jardin.
