To make a day of it

Château de Maison-Blanche stands in Gagny (Seine-Saint-Denis), in the Île-de-France region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château de Maison-Blanche stands in Gagny, in Seine-Saint-Denis, on a site known since the 16th century, originally a farm before becoming an enclosed estate belonging to Philippe II of Orléans, the Regent. The current building, featuring a curved pediment, dates from the late 18th century and was built on an earlier structure. Restored in 2011, with the façades redone in lime render and the glass roof repaired, it now shows the results of that work.

What to know

  • The château is located on Avenue du Château, by Place des Fêtes, in Gagny.
  • Traces of the estate's walled enclosure, built in the early 18th century, remain on site.
  • The original belvedere was moved and now stands on the peninsula of the Maison-Blanche lake nearby.
  • No opening hours or admission fees are specified in the available sources.
  • The chapel and hunting lodge that once stood alongside the château no longer exist.
