Le château du 13e siècle fut complètement restauré en 1780. Il était alors clos d'une double enceinte, de courtines et de deux tours. Le château fut rasé douze ans après par Lakanal. De l'édifice du 13e siècle subsiste une tour ronde sur trois faces et volontairement éventrée.
