The château de Longefan stands at the foot of the Biolle mountain, in the commune of La Biolle in Savoy, between the hamlets of Les Plagnes and Troissy. Once a fortified house remodeled at the end of the 15th century, it kept an unusual outline, often likened to the bow of a ship. An 18th-century gateway leads into a courtyard and raised gardens overlooked by a half-round tower, while vaulted rooms remain below. The estate passed through several noble families over the centuries before becoming, in the 20th century, a boarding house and later a property split among private owners.
