Cette tour est le dernier vestige de l'ancien manoir des comtes de Sabran. Sur la face sud, à quinze mètres du sol, s'ouvre une fenêtre donnant accès à une vaste salle carrée, pavée de grosses dalles de pierre, et surplombant, selon l'histoire locale, les oubliettes de l'ancien château. Autour d'elle gisent des pans de murailles, restes des différentes parties du bâtiment comme le pont-levis et la chapelle. Le cimetière repose sur l'ancien château enclos par l'enceinte.
