To make a day of it

Château de Laborde stands in Meursanges (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

In Meursanges, in the Côte-d'Or, the château de Laborde no longer stands as such: former brick outbuildings now house what remains of a vanished residence. The site chiefly preserves traces of a park laid out by André Le Nôtre, a reminder of a mansion once called the Versailles of Burgundy. The place's history stretches back to the Dukes of Burgundy and passes through several centuries of owners, including an Avignon antipope, before coming into the hands of a winegrowing estate.
