What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château se présente comme un grand bâtiment à deux étages, flanqué de deux tours sur lesquelles s'appuient latéralement deux pavillons en légère saillie. Chaque élément a sa toiture indépendante. La porte d'entrée présente un encadrement très riche : pilastres rudentés à chapiteau ionique, pointes de diamant, rang de denticules et d'oves... Le long de la façade se trouvent des pilastres plats surmontés de chapiteaux toscans sur lesquels reposent encore des bases d'arc. Cette disposition se voit également sur la façade donnant sur l'Adour. D'autres éléments de décor inachevés ou détruits subsistent en extérieur. Une tour ronde en briques flanque la façade occidentale. Elément d'un bâtiment plus ancien, elle conserve encore des dispositifs de défense. A l'intérieur, salon, salle à manger et bibliothèque conservent des restes de décor en stuc. La tour date du 16e siècle ; le château des 16e, 17e et 19e siècles.
